Through 2011, Apple fans  and fanatics like us have heard a lot about the release of the new iPhone 5; but after much waiting Apple ended up releasing the improved version of iPhone 4 – iPhone 4S, which was better in more ways than one than its predecessor but more or less looked exactly the same and could not be told apart just by looking at it. So while the rumors were put to sleep when iPhone 4S was released in Fall of 2011, close resources from Apple have again started talking about the new sleek design
that is being worked upon at the Apple Headquarter.

So lets round up 2011′s iPhone 5 rumors

The Body

The body of the iPhone 5 is said to be quite different from anything that has been seen as yet. For
one thing, sources have leaked that the iPhone 5 will have a black metal/aluminum rear casing with
rubber or plastic material used for a bezel that would be running between the front and the back
panel. So a more robust body can be expected as compared to the older versions. You can expect
something like what you have seen in iPad 2. iLounge has negated all the other rumors that were
surfacing about iPhone 5 that it is going to have a teardrop design.

Close sources say that the bezel which will be placed between the front and the back will also be
used to cover the new redesigned antenna that would be surrounding the new iPhone 5. Since the
antenna will now be placed at a different place, Apple would therefore be experimenting with the
material of the back casing.

One of the most talked about iPhone 5 rumors of 2011, and probably the most disappointing. The iPhone 5 is expected to release near the end of Summers 2012 and most probably it is going to hit the market worldwide by Fall 2012 as did the iPhone 4S this year; so some more waiting for all the anxious consumers. Let’s hope the wait is worthwhile.

People are now talking about the operating system on which the said iPhone would be running. Sources from Apple have revealed that it is indeed going to have a faster processor; so could it mean iOS 6? A new groundbreaking phone wouldnt be to crash hot with a dated old operating system. Say goodbye to iOS 5 and hello to iOS 6!

4 Inch screen? To big or to small?

iPhone 5 rumors hit overdrive with the “oh no it cant be a 4 inch screen”! Substantial rumors have confirmed that the screen of the will be 4 inches or atleast larger than its baby brother the iPhone 4s. iLounge has confirmed a 4-inch display which is going to increase the length of the smartphone by 8mm. Fans of Apple’s iPhone are not going to settle for something mediocre after they have already had iPhone 4S and Siri. I’d be willing to call this a trumor.

And the slow end of the iPhone 5 rumors scale – Processors, NFC, LTE and no home button.

There are some other features that are also rumored for 2012′s most anticipated gadget. Besides a new processor, faster graphics will may come in disguise with a dedicated graphics card. Sources also confirm a non-mechanical touch sensitive button for Home menu. Potential NFC support and LTE support are also expected.

Only time will tell how many of these rumors will be based upon some truth; but one thing is for sure that a new iPhone 5 will be taking the world by storm is 2012.
